PSL is built around one idea: Sunday football should be for everyone. Not just people who already have a team, not just people who played in college, not just people who've lived here for years. Just people who want to play.
The Season Structure
1
Sign up individually
Everyone signs up as an individual — no team, no kit needed. We use your position and skill level to build balanced teams each week. Your personal record starts from day one: every win, draw, loss and goal is tracked regardless of which team you were on. Games run Sundays 4–6pm at Valley Road Playfields, WSU — with optional friendly matches in April before the season proper begins in May.
2
Random Sundays — teams reshuffle every week
Every Sunday starts as a random draw. Teams are freshly balanced before each match — you don't know who you're playing with until you arrive. Low pressure, high variety. Over a full season you'll share a pitch with nearly everyone in the league.
3
Fixed Sundays begin — once we have enough players
As soon as there are enough players to form at least two teams, Sundays start alternating: one week random, the next fixed. Your fixed team stays the same each fixed Sunday — same squad, building chemistry, accumulating a real season record of their own. The random Sundays keep things fresh; the fixed Sundays give you something to fight for.
4
Fall tournament
The season closes with a Fall tournament. By then we have a full picture of every player — attendance, goals, win rate — so tournament teams are formed from real data, not gut feeling. Fixed teams, everything to play for. Format and length confirmed once we know the numbers.
Your Personal Record
There's no big league table ranking people from first to last. Instead, every player builds a personal season record that's visible on their profile:
P
Games played
W/D/L
Win / Draw / Loss
G
Goals scored
%
Attendance
Think of it less like a leaderboard, more like a football CV. By the end of the season you'll have a genuine record of your time in the league. And if you come back for Season 2, that history travels with you.
A Note on Fair Play
Because everyone signs up individually, no group can pre-register as a stacked team and dominate the league. Team formation is done by the organisers, with balance as the primary goal. If you'd like to play alongside a friend, mention it in the notes when you sign up — we'll do our best, but we can't guarantee it every week. The whole point is to mix things up.
Looking ahead
Season 2 — fixed teams from day one
By the end of Season 1 we'll have real data on every player. Season 2 will use that to form permanent teams from the very first match — proper kits, proper rivalries, proper league.

Any level. We balance teams by skill so beginners are not thrown in the deep end. If you can run and kick a ball, you are welcome.
Then this is a great place to start. No one is here to judge. The whole point is to play, meet people and enjoy Sunday afternoons.

Just update your RSVP before the Friday deadline so we can adjust the team draw. Life happens.
We are starting with 7v7 to keep things moving and give everyone more touches. The goal is to grow into 11v11 as numbers increase.
